Onwards, to the next step in life

Hey everyone, how was your week? Hope you were still alive and kicking. For me, my weekend had a fun start and ends with a major decision for me to make.

Wesak day is the commemoration of the day in which Gautama Buddha was born, obtained enlightenment and his passing away.

First off, Wesak Day was last friday. This is quite an important day in my family as we always helps out in the volunteer work during the Wesak Day ever since my primary school days. Went to the Brickfields Maha Vihara Temple to help out in the volunteer work. Anyway, this year is as busy as the previous years with lots of visitors although the variety of sales for this year is kinda less compare to the previous years. We already expected the arrival of Datuk Seri Najib for the opening ceremony but what we didn't expected is the sudden appearance of the famous British Chef, Gordon Ramsay. WTH!! He even cook for Najib and the best part is, I get a chance to taste some of his cooking. Wah it really taste great even though it's just a simple vegetarian curry. Girls and Boys, don't be envious of me. xDD. Joined the procession which travels around the main part of KL and it's still quite fun to see so many cars stop just for the sake of this procession. xD

Okay, I guess my wait for university reply finally over. I had received an offer from USM for my first choice, Maths and Econ on Saturday night. And the frustrating part is that I need to confirm whether I want to accept or reject this offer by 5 o'clock on Monday. So after less than 48 hours of internal struggle and consulting from various people, I finally make my stand to accept the offer from USM. Guess I need to report on 3rd of July then. So, I guess is goodbye to this long-long holiday and need to bulk up for the challenges ahead already.

So, in the end, I want to wish all those who gotten or still waiting for their university offer the best of luck and if it's in our destiny, may we meet in USM on 3rd of July.

That's all for today,

RIP my dear friend

Hey everyone, how's your day today? Hope it's great for you, in my place anyways.

On 19 May 2010 at 9.46 PM (1.46 PM GMT), my trusty old pal, comrades in arm, my companion who accompanied me through the sweet and harsh time, has been officially pronounce out of service. That right, it's my trusty desktop which had served his last glorious moment and had peacefully 'passed away' just now.
Ya, this is my 10 years old desktop, Complete with CDR monitor and an external fan for cooling.

It was such a sudden incident and it happen when I was in a middle of a research project. Yes, I know that many of you would think lightly of me and maybe wondering 'why la this fella wasting his breath of sulking over a malfunction desktop and why don't just get a new one instead?' Alright, I admit that I maybe a bit exaggerating on this matter but I don't see it as a machine, but as a trusty friend who's able to accompany me by my side and often provide help when I needed it the most. It had been in my family since late 2000 and now it is around 10 years since that fateful day. Even though many problems arises from it such as start up failure, hardware malfunction, slow speed and etc. during it's service period, but I manage to overcome each of those obstacles through self-studying or help from my dad's peers. Despite that, you still manage to perform your duties well and maybe even better than your more advance counterparts. You can say that an inseparable bond had form between the both of us.

Initially, I wasn't planning on buying a laptop so soon as I like to procrastinate this sort of things because of the price and also the new technology which churn out on a daily basis. However, I ended up on buying my first laptop a few weeks ago and manage to transfer some of the important doc. from my destop to my laptop. And by today, this hour, my desktop has give out it's last services to me. I really can't help to think that maybe it's the will of my desktop that finally made me settle down on a laptop purchase as it knew that it's end is near.

Lastly, I just want to express my deepest gratitude towards my desktop for all the services that it had provided me along the years and if you do have a soul (the soul of those workers who put into you when they develop you from scratch), may you continue to bless and watch over your successor and make sure they don't slack off during their job.

Thank you so much and Good bye. May we meet again in some distant future.

My sincere regards,
Signing off...

Movie's Review

Hie everyone, how was your day today? Those SPM leavers should be furthering their studies now, let it be Matrix, A Levels, SAM, Form 6, diploma & etc. Wish you all the best of luck in your studies.

Anyway, today I want to share a few movie that I watched this few weeks (went out too much with friends d). Alright, one of them is the ever most anticipating movie which is IP Man 2.

My first impression of this movie is 'great, another fighting movie. Is there nothing new in cinema anymore?' But I soon realized that it wasn't just another normal fighting movie, it was the story of the ancient master of weng chun (永春); Bruce Lee's master, 叶问 (IP Man). In the first 15 min of the show, I was already captivate with the style of the story being told and another 30 more min was the killing blow for me, 叶问 fighting with another ancient master, 洪震南 (Hong Chun Nam). Needless to say, whoever watched the movie would surely remember the last part where 叶问 fighting with Taylor, the Twister. Those who didn't watch the movie better go and catch it now as it's really worth every penny that you can throw at it.

Alright, to the next movie. Initially I was reluctant to go for this movie but since my friend, Tzen Hong tries his hard to persuade me, might as well follow him and just watch this one (So what's another few more ringgit compare to friendship satisfaction?). The title of this movie is The Dairy of a Wimpy Kid.

Okay, to be frank, when I first see the poster of this movie, I was like 'What the heck is this movie about? Another waste of money and my precious time only' In addition, when we bought the ticket and went into the cinema, I was really surprise as only a few seats are occupied, giving an indication that this movie is most probably "junk". But when the movie starts to roll, I was immediately bombarded with a Lizzy Mcguire style intro and it only gets better as the movie proceed. The story focus on Greg Heflfley, a high school freshman who wants to gets into the yearbook by becoming 'somebody' (In another term is someone's popular) and tries his best to fulfill various roles which could be portrayed in the school's annual yearbook (and yes, it includes class clown too). This movie was interesting as it uses various styles to progress the story. Ah, I guess you would better off enjoying this movie yourself than wasting time here reading my summary of that movie and I can promise you that this won't be a waste of your money and time (At least better than the Iron Man 2).

Alright, the last movie that I watch is ..... Okay it's not a Hollywood movie but an anime movie. The title is Summer Wars, and has won the 2010 Japan Academy Prize for the Animation of the Year.

I stumble upon this movie when I was surfing some blog the other day and suddenly realize that I totally miss this movie when it was released during November last year. After several days of downloading and trimming the movie, I was able to claim my prize of enjoying this wonderful piece of art. In case you don't know, this film was directed by the same team which create the anime movie "the Girl that Leap through Time", Hiroyuki Aoyama, Satoko Okudera and Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. This movie was about the adventures of Kenji, who accepted the request of his senior, Natsuki of going back to her hometown and pretending to be her "rich and talented" boyfriend. This movie was a real deal as it tries it's best to direct the audience towards the family issue of Natsuki's family while keeping pace with it's action in Oz. Any more words is useless unless you take some time and watch this movie. I promise that this would really make your day today. xD
Can't really end an anime movie without a kiss from the heroine. xDD

Mothers Day

Hey everyone, how's your day today? By the way, remember to hug your mom and say thanks to her for everything that she had did for you, for today is the annual Mothers Day.

Ok, today I went to Mid Valley in order to buy my Laptop and thought of treating my mother for lunch to celebrate this occasion, but she refuses saying that she's already full (Damn big disappointment). Anyhow finally bought my first laptop (Acer Aspire 5741G) with my own sweat and blood (that's right, working part time until finally saved the amount that I needed). HUGE ACHIEVEMENT xD.
My First Laptop.

Since I can't treat her to lunch, I decided to try a new cake recipe to surprise her. After some struggle, I finally succeed in baking an apple crumble cake just for this occasion.
Okay, the looks isn't much but it really taste good. xD

By the way, went to watch movie with friends yesterday and watched the Ice Kacang Puppy Love ( 初恋红豆冰) by Ah Niu. Quite nice for a Malaysian movie. Gambateh Malaysia.
Really love the funny scene in the movie.

Howling of the heart

Hey guys, long time didn't update my blog already, anyone miss me?

So just a quick update on things, still stuck at home counting cobwebs, brain's function is nearly dead dy. But recently work part-time at the PIKOM Fair, the job wasn't quite bad and the pay was good too (RM 90 per day include lunch and dinner). I would recommend everyone try at least once for that kind of job as they need quite an amount of people during each fair, but my advice is to stay far for those who can't stand for long hours( 10-12 hours each day ).

Still, at home for such an absurdly long period of time would really drive one till crazy. Really envy those who already start college or Uni. By the Way, UPU already release the results for SPM and Matrix candidates. Be sure to check the results at here. For the STPm candidates, be patient till the 3rd Week of Jun la xD. Good luck to all who have started their next step of education and may God speed be with all.

Kinda addicted to light novel now. Hope to get my mind off things till the day UPU release the results for STPM leavers. Maybe will learn more recipe as well.
Gotten too bored and drew this, nice right?
